I am an educator (DipTeach, GDipEd, MAPP, MACE) with 40 years’ experience in pedagogy, learning and wellbeing in Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary contexts. My previous role was Associate Head (Innovation and Learning) at St Michael’s Grammar School, where I was on staff for 18 years. I had a range of leadership roles during this time including Director of Early Learning, Head of Junior School, Associate Head and Wellbeing Consultant. For the last few years, I have also been Director of my own consultancy in the Leadership, Wellbeing and Performance. I am a strategic enabler and a creative and mindful thinker who strives to connect people to purpose, build autonomy and enable mastery. I now work in Not for Profit and Corporate organizations in Australia and overseas.

I have completed my Master of Applied Positive Psychology and been invited to present at many National and International conferences including the World Thinking Skills Conference, World Positive Education Accelerator, the International Symposium for Coaching and Positive Psychology, Positive Education Schools Association, Australian Heads of Independent Schools and the Australian Council for Educational Leaders Conferences.

I was fortunate to be nominated for an Excellence in Teaching Award, and was a recipient of The Sacs Consulting Award for Leadership in the Not for Profit Sector, which crystalized my focus on creating and sustaining positive learning cultures. I have enjoyed time in Finland, the USA and Reggio Emilia, Italy, studying pedagogy and learning. My experience teaching, coaching and leading over many years, across industries and countries has crystallized my belief in people and their potential. I believe that a strengths-based approach where we focus on people’s strengths, capability and competency, can benefit everything we do, our engagement and productivity, the quality of our relationships, how we learn, what we contribute to the world, and our life satisfaction.
